Distance, about 1 mile. RULES. The C J. C. Rules strictly adhered to. No one allowed to enter a horse, unless a subscriber of one guinea to the race fund. Three horses to start, or no race. All horses starting must race the distance, or they will not be allowed to compete for the Consolation Stakes. The Akaroa County or District Races shall mean that horses are the bona fide property of owners three months previous to the races. Nominations for the Handicap close on the 13th February, at 8 p.m. Entrances close on the 21st February, at 8 p.m. All entries and colors, with money, to be sent in under cover, to the Secretary, Beach Arms, near Little River.
