INTERPROVINCIAL TELEGRAMS.

Wellington, Feb. 14,
At a Cabinet meeting held this morning, it was decided to appoint Mr Conyers Commissioner of Railways. He is to have the entire control of all constructed railways in the Middle Island.
It is reported that Captain Carey, of the Taupo, has been appointed to the Rotorua, and that Captain Malcolm, of the Taranaki, is to take command of the Taupo. Captain Kennedy, who has had charge of the Rotorua, is to be transferred to the Taranaki.
