: A correspondent, writing from Timaru, informs us that the anecdote related in our clippings of the 25th ult., of a doctor curing a lady's husband when he was ill, and afterwards being cut for his pains, is taken from a French " histoirette," by Monsieur J. Blondeau do Commercy. As he sends us a copy, and the lines are worth space, we insert them.
