The following were then elected to serve on the new committee, namely :—Messrs P. David. J. H. LeClerc, Latter, McPhail, Niblett, Prime and 11. Smith. At a committee meeting, held after the public meeting, Mr Latter was elected chairman, and after discussion, was requested to write to Messrs W. Montgomery,-M.H.Rk, and J. Inglis, and ask those gentlemen to consent to their being nominated by> this committee as members of the Board of Education. The meeting then adjourned to Monday, 11th February at seven o'clock.
