Tuesday, Jan. 15. (Before Justin Aylmer, Esq., E.M.) CATTLE THESPASS. Jacob Waeckerle, for an offence of this nature, was fined 10s and costs. ■' "'■ .Civil Casks. A. C.' Knight v. 11. Niblett.—Claim £13 12s 4d, for half cost of a boundary „fence. Judgment given for amount claimed and costs. F. Aiming v. W. Green.—This was a judgment summons, the defendant being ordered to pay os a week ,from the 26th February, or in default oue months' imprisonment. Garwood v. Jaggar.—ln this case the plaintiff sued the defendant for the amount of a dishonored promissory note which had been endorsed by him. The money had been borrowed from another.: person to enable the defendant to , get out of pecuniary difficulties, and he had failed to meet the bill, when it: became due. Order made for the payment of the amount claimed, £22, on or before the 22nd inst., or in default 2 months imprisonment. The Court then adjourned.
Thursday, Jan. 17. (Before Justin Ayliner, Esq., 8.M.) Robert Macfarline, juii.. charged with forging and uttering a cheque for M.5 11s on the Union Bank of Australia. Christchurch, was remanded to Christchurch.
