The Turks defeated thej Montenegrins at Dhuzza (? Durazzo). The Porte has notified to the ■ Grand Duke Nicholas its desire for an armistice. The Duke replied that he would refer the question to St. Petersburgh. Sydney, Jan. 12. THE PROPOSED . DUPLICATE CABLE. The Postmaster General, replying to a deputation from the Chanxber. of Commerce, approved the route for a duplicate cable from Western Australia to Singapore. He hinted at the desirability ot obtaining assistance from other Colonial Governments.
