AKAROA SCHOOL.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE AKAROA MAIL. Sir—l was somewhat surprised to read an advertisement, in your journal, that ladies' classes were to be commenced in connection with the above school. I cannot understand this, and, as a mother, decidedly object to it. We want no difference of class introduced ; we do not want special hours for special pupils; we do not want a few to be forced at the deprivation of the many. I hold that the teaching power of the *chool-is engaged for the .children attending that school and for none other, and, if I was only a man. I would let the committee know why I so think. Surely there are enough private schools here without their business being interfered with. I want my children educated and not neglected for the sake of favoritism. Yours &c A WIDOW.
