Mr Edward Ball, proprietor of the- 'j South Canterbury Times, was committed ' for trial this morning for alleged criminal libel on Judge Ward. He was admitted to bail in two sureties of £25 each, and himself in £50. The casecomes on for trial during tho present sitting of the Supreme Court. (Prom the Press Agency.) Wellington, Dec. 10.
