Greymouth, Nov. 8. The greatest flood <?ver experienced in the Grey river. River higher than ever _, known before, but little damage was done in town. The Harbour works stood admirably, but up-country great havoc was done to fences, live stock, bridges, &.. Coaches are as yet unable to .travel on the Reefton road, miles of it being covered by fallen timber. The river cut a new channel to the sea, aboilt half a mile south of the previous one. BA^CIfIJTHa, Nov. 8. Twelve coaches and forty horses were required to bring the passengers through from Clinton _to Balclutha to-day. Ml were conveyed by Williams' live without a single hitch.
