AKAROA RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Friday,. October 26,1877. (Before Justin Aylmer, Esq., R.M.) ' Civil Case.
Widdicornbe and Holmes v. Clarke and Millar.—This was a claim for £12 15s. 6d, for money paid on defendants account. Mr Inwood appeared for defendants, and asked for a nonsuit, on the grounds that the plaintiff had failed to supply his clients with the particulars of the amount claimed. The Bench, while fully recognising Mr Inwood's plea, suggested, that, if he w.ere agreeable, in order to save expense, an adjournment would be better. Mr Inwood agreeing to this, the case was adjourned till this day, the 30th. The Court then adjourned.
