Captain Clark, of the Tongariro, reports having left Lyttelton on the 7th at 11 p.m., with a freshening south-east breeze, the wind increasing until J a.m. on the Bth, when the vessel was off the Long Lookout, finding the weather threatening, with heavy cross sea, brought the vessel up under the lea of the Look-out; resumed the voyage at 9 a.m. steering down against heavy breeze and tea, arriving at the wharf at 5 p.m.
