CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH. THE Services in connection with the above Church will be held for some time at the TOWN HALL, in place of the Oddfellows' Hall, in Akaroa. The Rev. — WORLEY, from Nelson, is expected to arrive in a few weeks, to take charge of the Church on the Peninsula. It is intended to hold regular services in Akaroa on the Lord's day ; at the Church at Le Bon's as usual, with preaching stations at Wainui, Robinson's Bay, Decanter's, Little Akaloa, and Okain's Bays. BANKS PENINSULA PASTORAL ASSOCIATION. A MEETING of COMMITTEE of the above association, will be held at the Somerset Hotel, Head of Bay, on 18th instant, at 1 p.m. Business : Election of President of the Association, and to make arrangements for forthcoming Show. A PUBLIC MEETING of RATEPAYERS, will be held in the Road Board Office, Akaroa, on SATURDAY, the 20th instant, at 1 p.m., to hear any objections that may be offered as to why that part of the Old Duvauchelle's Bay Road, hereinafter described, may not be sold, in accordance with the " Public Works' Act, 1876," sec. 93, sub-sees. 1 to 3, viz.:—ALL THAT PIECE OR PARCEL OF LAND containing One Acre One Rtiod and Thirty-tAvo Perches (more or less), and being portion of sections 752, 856, and 332, situated in Duvauchelle's Bay, Berard Riding, County of Akaroa, and bounded on the North by a line starting from the Harbour Beach, and bearing 275*31, 173 links ; and bj a line bearing 304*45, 266 links ; and by a line bearing 298*31, 210 links ; and by a line bearing 278*34, 178 links ; and by a line bearing 294*28, 416 links ; and by a line bearing 336*43, 284 links. On the South-east by a line bearing 246*43, 100 links," and by the Akaroa and Christchurch Road. On the South and on the South-west by six lines, with bear- ings and distances as follows, namely: 336-43, 246 links ; 294*28, 364 links ; 278*34, 178 links ; 298*31", 232 links ; 304.45, 246 links ; 275*31, 117 links. On the Avest by a line bearing 348*00, 105 links ; and by the chain reserve on the harbour high-water margin to the starting point, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan lying at the said Road Board Office.
