CABLE TELEGRAMS.

[Reutek's Telegrams to the Pkess agency.] September, 24. Plevna, is nearly surrounded by the Russian forces. Hafiz reached Dubrick with supplies. The convoy was attacked by 15 battalions of Russian infantry and three regiments of cavalry, but they were defeated, according to the Turkish account.

Mehemet Ali totally defeated the Czarewitch at Biela, '' The Russians lost 12,000 killed, and 2000 prisoners. There has been desperate fighting, with varying success, before Plevna. The total defeat of Osman Pasha is looked for unless support is given him. London, Sept. 24. The inquest on the bodies washed ashore from the Avalanche has terminated. The jury returned an open verdict.
