AKAROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

SPECIAL MEETING.

Mdneay, Sept. 17

The newly elected Councillors met at four o'clock for the purpose of electing the variods committees, and signing the necessary documents.

Present—His Worship the Mayor ; Crs. Waeckerle. Meech, Annand, Sunekell. O'Reilly, Wagstaff, Billens, Cullen, and Penlington.

Crs. WagstafE, Annand, Billens, and Penlinijjton were elected to serve on the Finance Committee; Crs. Waeckerle, Meech, O'Reilly, and Sunekell on tha Works Committee ; Crs. "Wseckerle, and Billens, Sunekell on the Sanitary Committee.

The Council hold their first regular meeting on Wednesday, the 19th inst., at 7.30 p.m. The meeting then adjourned.
