The Russians are now concentrated at Zie?, where works have been carried on unobserved. The heights of Plevna were bombardment continuously on Sept. 7. Yesterday, the BthJ' the Russian left occupied the southern heights, losing 500 men killed, whilst the position of the right and centre is only 1300 yards from the Turkish entrenchment. Cannonading is going on furiously.
[special cable message to the dunedim i; STAR. "] London, Saturday Night. Osman Pasha reports that desperate fighting has now been going on for two days in the neighbourhood of Loftscha (Lovatz.) The main forces vere engaged on both sides. No decisive advantage, has been gained by either side, and the fighting still continues. Osman admits a toss of 5000 in killed and 1000 in wounded. The Russian losses cannot be estimated.
