AKAROA BOROUGH COUNCIL. ELECTION NOTICE. IN pursuance of " The [Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876," clause 14, I horeby give public notice, that the following candidates have been duly NOMINATED, as required by the said Act, as Councillors for the Borough of Akaroa, in room of the present Council, who retire in terms of the Municipal Corporations Act," clause 67, viz.:— William Meech Henry Wagstaff James Stewart Annand John Sunckell William Penlington John Beecher William Adams John Cullen Henry Billens Jacob Waeckerle Patrick O'Reilly Thomas Bentley Chadwick Henry Greten Watkins Alfred King Harlock The above number of candidates being in excess of the number of offices to be filled, I hereby give notice that a POLL will be taken at the offices of the Akaroa Borough Council, Lavaudstreet, Akaroa, for the election of NINE of ;i;he above Burgesses to serve as Councillors of the said Borough, on THURSDAY, the 13th day of September, 1877.
