Melbourne, August 8. J. K. Emmet, of " Fritz" renown, threw himself into the sea from Glenelg Jetty, Adelaide, and was dragged out by a fisherman. When rescued he laughed heartily, and denied that he attempted to commit suicide saying that he only wanted to bathe. A grave charge has been made against Dr. Beaney, senior surgeon of the Melbourne Hospital, that he admitted nonprofessional witnesses to see.a .delicate operation on a female under chloroform.
