THE Board of the Education District of Canterbury, pursuant to the powers in that behalf conferred by " The Education Ordinance, 1875," and "The Education Board's Act, 1876," hereby declares that the Educational District of Duvauchelle's Bay is nOw and henceforth divided into two Educational Districts, the boundary between them being Okain's Bay road, that is to say, the road which separates section 11,275 from section 11,298, and the northern and the north western boundaries of section 4513, and the said Board hereby proclaims each of these two districts to be an Educational District within the meaning of and subject to the provisions of the said Ordinance and Act, and that of the two districts, that which lies toward the north shall be called by the name of " The Educational Disirict of Duvauchelle's Bay ;" and- that which lies toward the south shall be called " The Educational District of Robinson's Bay." And notice is hereby given, that a PUBLIC MEETING of "Householders will be held at the School-house in each of the above districts, on MONDAY, AUGUST. 13, 1877, at 7 p.m., for the purpose of Electing a School Committee, and that a Poll, if demanded in either districts, shall be taken at the same places on MONDAY, AUGUST 20, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. JOHN INGLIS, Chairman.
