STOCK AND STATIONS.
At the Addington saleyards on Wednesday, 4117 sheep, and 186 head of cattle, came forward. The former, which was a large supply for this time of the year, comprised the usual class of fatcross-breds and a good proportion of merinos. Best quality cross-breds (heavy weights), brought 16s ; good do, from 14s 6d to 15s 9d ; second quality, from 12s to 13s 6d. A few choice pens of fat merino's realised 9s ; good do, 8s 6d. Cross-bred hoggetts (small) brought from 6s 6cl to 7s 9d. The cattle yarded consisted chiefly of some thriving young stores, for which description the biddings were animated throughout, and prices ruled fully ten shillings per head in. advance of last week's rates. One or two nice quality pens of fat stock realised quite 30s per lOOlbs.
