After the Governor's speech, Dr. Pollen gave notice of the introduction of Bills for the establishment and maintenance of the Armed Constabulary and to consolidate the laws relating to Friendly Societies. In the House of Representatives the following new members took their seats : Messrs Fox, Gisborne, Sutton, Beetham, and Wallis. ! Mr Beetham moves the address in < reply. Mr. Gisborne moves for the correspondence regarding sale of Luna. Mr. D. Reid gave notice of the introduction of Bills, relating to goldfields, scab in sheep, and public pounds. Mr. Bowen has charge of the Education Bill. The Premier will introduce a Bill in ''■ regard to crossed cheques. Both Houses adjourned till Friday, at 2.30.
