BAD ROADS.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE AKAROA MAIL. Sir, —Taljc about yonr Road Boards and its memtere. I should like to know if any of the so-called gentlemen have travelled the coach road lately. If not, I wish they would, for really that part of the road between Lyons, and Mrs. Haines is disgraceful. There is about fifteen chains frightful, not fit for a horseman, let alone the coach, or a trap, a few chains from the hotel, on the hill top, as you are going to Barry's Bay. There is one part in particular, where there are large boulders sticking out nearly two feet jiig l, , and ruts, that if once a horse slips be is bound to be right tip to his girths in mud. There is no mistake, that if there , is not something done before long, I should not be surprised if the traffic was stopped, on account of the disgraceful state of the road. How the coa"dh rubs through, goodness knows.— Yours, &c, ASK THE DBIVER.
