FROM THE JA'TTEI-ToN TIMES. Christchurch, Friday Evening. GRAIN AND PRODUCE. At the Addington Saleyards, last Wednesday, 2451 sheep and 255 head of cattle came forward. Best cross-breds realised 13s 9d each ; second quality brought from 11s 6d to 12s 9d per head. Several good quality pens of fat merinos were offered and sold at 8s 6d per hend ; storea sold at from 6s 3d to 7s each. We quote per lb as an average for mutton. The large number of cattle penned consisted chiefly of well-conditioned two, three, and four year old stoi'es of mixed sexes, with a good proportion of fat stock; four and five year old fat bullocks realised from £10 to £10 12s 6d each; lighter weights sold from £8 15s to £9 ss, making an average of fully 30s per lOOibs for beef. Good quality two year old stores (mixed sexes) brought from £6 to £6 7s Gd ; three year old do, from £7 2s 6d to £8 os, according to quality. Springers —Several nice quality cows came to hand the bulk of which brought from £11. to £13 per head ; others of inferior quality, from £G to £9 15s each.
