THE TADMOR.
A correspondent to the Nelson Hail writes as follows from the Tadmor, under date, March 21 :—There is nothing- new to report form these diggings. All the holes put down on the supposed lead on the flat have hitherto turned out duffers. One party near the front are down 25 feet, and they intend trying bottom, but have a great deal of water to contend against; they will have a Californian pump at work shortly which will enable them to get on better and it is to be hoped they will be successful as they certainly deserve something for their trouble. Another party have taken a cut in but have not begun to sink ; both are working in a systematic manner. Two of Perrotts's mates have sold out, one for £30, and the other for £22. A share in Paul's sold for £10, and one below White's claim for £15. A few men have gone up the river prospecting, and many have left the place. Mr. Fawcett, of the Tadmor, we notice, has been telegraphing to the Otago Guardian, stating that the field is no good and that the discoveries amount to nothing more than has been known for the last twenty years.
