Chkistchuuch, Thursday evening. There is but little to record in grain and produce transactions during the Aveek. Wheat is offering freely, but millers and merchants show Jess inclination to operate at rates lately ruling, as stocks are accumulating rapidly. We quote sound milling from 4s Gel to 4s Dd, and sprouted from 2s Gd to 3s. Oats range ironi °s to 2s 3d for feed and milling respectively ; barley from 3s to 4s Gd. At the latter jigure. transactions are principally coniinedto malsters. Dairy Pj-od'nce.—The butter market is very much Aveakor, Avith little _or no export enquiry ; rates have receded in Sydney to 'Jd for Canterbury manufacture : avc quote values here, nominally. 'Jd to 10d. Cheese is in good supply at' ,<\d to Gd. Millers' quotations for guaranteed Hour are £15 in sacks, £15 7s Gd in 10 )'b bags, and £15 15s in 501b bags; bran, £-1 ; sharps, £5; second quality Hour, £s. At the Saleyards, on Wednesday, 112G2 sheep and 4D2 head of cattle were yarded. Owing to the very large supply of sheep, the prices avc re not as high as previously. Prime quality fat cross-breds sold at from l)s Gd to 10s 9d each, making an average of 2d per H>. Several lines of stores came forward, Good-condi tioned merino wethers sold at from 5s 3d to 5s Gd each._ The cattle yarded consisted principally of fresh conditioned store-, which were got oit : at last week's rates. For prime beet our quotation for this Aveek is 7s Gd per lOOlbs.
