ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
[We are at all times ready to give expression to every shade of opinion, but in no case do we hold ourselves responsible for the sentiments of our correspondents.]
TO THE EDITOR OF THE AKAROA MAIL. Sir, —I beg to thank you for your leader of Tuesday last, advocating the forming of a company to purchase a steamer to run from Akaroa to Lyttelton, via the Bays. I ** think the idea a good one, and I shall be pleased to hear of the matter being taken up in such a way. as shall command the support of all parties interested. I have * mentioned the subject to several in this Bay, and find most of theih willing to take up £5 shares. 1 think if any place is in want of steam communication more than another, it is " poor Le Bon's."—Yours, &c, B. Le Bon's Bay.
