A correspondent informs us that a. rumor is being freely circulated in and about Brunnerton to the effect that the hooktr attached to the wire ropes and secure?! to the anchor plates, are not of sufficient strength to bear the 1 heavy strain upon: them, and that thereis" a - probability tha« the bridge will again collapse.
