The jury returned a unanimous verdict as follows:—"That deceased ■came by his death through wilful violence, thatthe'evidence implicates John Monaghan as the cause of such violence." A rider was also added, that the jury desired to express strong disapprobation of the behaviour of Silk and wife, in hastily removing evidences which might materially assist the enquiry tendering to defeat the ends of justice.
