Invercargill, March 22. Enquiry re the cause of death of Thomas Casserley commenced yesterday, was resumed at ten o'clock to-day, and concluded this afternoon. The jury returned a unanimous verdict as follows:—"That deceased ■came by his death through wilful violence, thatthe'evidence implicates John Monaghan as the cause of such violence." A rider was also added, that the jury desired to express strong disapprobation of the behaviour of Silk and wife, in hastily removing evidences which might materially assist the enquiry tendering to defeat the ends of justice. Grahamstown, March 22. Moanatairi shares went up to £16 last night ; to-day they reached £21 ; a large yield is looked for for current fortnight crushing. About a ton of specimen stone broken down this week, enough to keep a single stamper going. It is said the show of gold is equal to the best show ever seen the Caledonian.
