CHALLENGE.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE AKAROA MAIL.

Sib, —Having seen a challenge in your paper, re Hobartown Pet and Tim Whifller to tight. I beg through your columns to state that it has nothing to do with the Somerset Hotel, and that the person that put in the challenge should have invited them to his own house, and not to mine. By inserting this you will oblige, Yours, &c, THOS. W. BARKER. [The advertisement to which the above letter refers was inserted in the usual course of business, and without the slightest intention of throwing any imputation on Mr. Barker's Hotel, Avhich the travelling public know is as well conducted as any in the province.—Ed. A.M.]
