FINAL REJECTION OF THE PROPOSALS BY THE TURKS. ' London, January 19. The Grand Couucil of Turkey have resolved not to discuss proposals further. This determination, when made known in Constantinople, caused shouts of "death before dishonour." The Council were unanimous in rejecting the proposals as contrary t©. the integrity and dignity of the Empire. The Vicar of Pelhamdale is continuing to defy the Court of Arches. The Bishop: of London closed the Church to prevent The matter is referred to the Privy CouncilCongress has referred the question of the Presidential election to a tribunal composed of the Supreme Court and members of both Houses.

The yellow flag'is hoisted aboard the men of war Sapphire and Conflict. There is no cause of alarm yet, as the nature of the disease is not sufficiently defined.
The sickness on board the Wolverene, Conflict,, and Sapphire, turns out to be small pox.
