On the immediate occurrence of the disasters at the Bay of Islands, his Lordship the Bishop of New Zealand preached most eloquently, at St. Paul’s Church, upon the Ch istian duty of sheltering and prote> tmg the refugees. We have the sincefest regard for that charily which woriteth in secret; hut we hear of much i rhation, and tho-e who are yet unscathed will, even now, probably, come fo ward to the assistance of their tyotherhood in distress,
