On motion of the Go»emor, it was Ordered " That the first reading of the ' General Dealers' Licencing Bill,' be deferred.'** The Governor laid on the table the following Bills, viz :
1. " A Bill to empower Owners and Oc~ cupiersof Land within certain Districts lo repair and .maintain Highways and Public Works within the same, and to make and levy Hates for defraying the expenses thereof." 2. " A Bill for imposing T"ees on the delivery of Crown Grant*- in certain cases." Ordered —" That said Bills be read a first time on Thursday next, f the L3th instant."

Present, all the Members. The Council met pursuant lo adjournment. The Minutes of ihe last metdinj; were read and confirmed. Ihe Governor laid upon the table " A Bill in appropriate the Revenue for the year 1845 " On motion of the Colonial Secretary the "Standing Rules and Orders" suspended. Tha Governor moved that the " Bill to approoriate the Revenue for the year 1345" be read a first time immediately. Bill read a first time accordingly. The Colonial Secretary laid on the table the following Returns moved for by Mr. Whitaker—1. A Return of Custom Revenue for the years ended October, 1843, aud 1844, distinguishing the amount received for Spirits, Ale, and Wine. "2. A Return of the amount received for Land Sales, and ending with date, shewing how sums received have been applied. 3. A Return of the amount collected under the Property Rate Ordinance. On motion ot the Governor, k was Ordered— " That the foregoing Return* be printed." The Attorney General moved that the " Appropriation Bid" be read h. second time. Clause 1 read, consideration thereof postponed. The consideration of the following ilem in the ** Appropriation Bill" proceeded With On the fiuesdou being put that the stiiti of £1551 oe granted lor His Excellency tne Governor and Establishment. Agreed to. For the Colonial Secretary'? Department and P, inting Establishment, Consideration postponed. For Law Officers of the Crown, £535• Agreed to. For Colonial Treasury, 561090. Consideration postponed. For Council Office, £545. Agreed to. For Audit, £340. Agreed to. For rSiinerintendent of Southern Division and Establishment, £BSO. Agreed to. On motion of Mr. Whitaker, it Was Ordered " That the further consideration of the Estimates be postponed until Tuesday next." The Governor laid on the (able " A Bill for imposing Fees on the delivery of Crown Grant? in certain cases," and gave notice that he should move that the said Bill be read a first time on Thursday.
