ALBERT'S EASTER HOLIDAYS. A ROYAL ADDRESS. When oe'r the waves thou goest to Saxe.Cobuig and sour krout, lovp, Then think of Windsor's glorious far*. Whence Melbourne got the gout, love. While o'er the vessel's side thou lean'st. Extremely queer and sick, love, To Neptune rendering op accounts, Then think of home and VIC, love. When in thy native cherished land, .. Tliod breath'st the German air, love, Let not the thought of English fogs Thy nervous system scare, love. Bemember, though old England boasts A climate dull and thick, love, The guineas which she has are bright As e'en tho eyes of VIC, love. The boors and serfs who till the soil In Gotha's poor domain, love, Will scarcely know thy form again, With such a courtier train, love. No more thy wot Idly gear can be Conveyed upon a stick, love ; Thy shirts—their name is "Legion' - now — Thanks to JOHN BULL and VIC, love! Within that German land of thine, I've beard bv many tell, love, That blue-eyed maidens fair and fond. In countless numbers dwell, love. But do not cast one glance at them, Nor think to play one, trick, love ; For smiles of theirs would bring on thee The awfnl frowns of VIC, love ! Bemember, too, I shall expeot A strict and true account, love, Of all the various sums tbou spendst, In separate amount, love, No doubt that Coburg relatives Thy purse will lighten qnioh, love ; Although 'twas filled when thou didst go. With liberal hand by VIC, love. Ah ! soon T hope the day will dawn— A blessed day to me, love— Wben Germany shall send thee back To England, and to me, love. When " Easter holidays'' are o'er, For thee peihaps too qniok, love ; And tbou com'st back to school, once more Obedient to thy VIC, love !
