DEATH.
lOn Thursday last, the22nd inst, aged27,Margaret, || the beloved wife of Mr James Jones, of the Governor g Hobson Hotel, in this town. As a partner in life, a fond I aod affectionate mother, a dutiful daughter, and a sin* 9 cere friend, her conduct elicited admiration and res* 9 pect from the large circle to whom her virtues were | known. She endured the sufferings of a lingering ill* 9 ness with exemplary patience, and died in the certain 1 hope of a glorious Resurrection. The attentions of g I the Rev. Mr. Churton were constant; and the con- 9 solations of religion, administered by the Rev. Gentle- 9 man, tended greatly to soothe the bed of death. Her 9 remains were attended to the grave on Saturday, by 9 one of the largest and most respectable assemblages, 9 ever seen in Auckland on any similar mournful cc- 9 casion.
