NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS.
Before commencing the publication of the “Auckland Times'’ we canvassed for subscribers, expressly declaring that toe should only publish upon realizing a certain number. After taking two, three or five of our numbers, as the case may be, we now constantly have them refused by parties who originally gave in their names, —we are not conscious of any deficiency in the performance of our part of the contract, and of course must hold these gentlemen liable for the fulfilment of theirs—we publish one letter, omitting the name, from a gentleman who says he only meant to have “on e paper," — this is rather paper-skulled. We have taken care in all cases to possess competent legal proof of the obligation these kindfriends continue under—-and shall enforce it in every case. Auckland, Monday, . Sir, —I put down my name as a subscriber for one number of your paper, but perceive you are still supplying me with each number that is published, I sent a message on “Saturday to request that it might be discontinued, but this morning received another paper, which I return herewith. I am, &c.
