Tfce ease a? Mr. N, s?pWAftDB,
(ST 4 BBFOStXS). There is a delight in acting the part of Providence or of good Santa Clans. It gives tnll play to the beat form of the/love of power that is so often found in man, power to befriend, power to raise, power to sonsole; and when such instances as the f Uowing are brought to light, through the kindness of Mr. Nicholas Edwards, of Foxttreet, South Dunedm, It shows that there i,re unselfish members of the community who help mankind whenever they cau. Taking His memory back to three years ago, ilr. K(lwards said;— ''. " it is about that time since I used a medicine called Clements Tonio for the purpose o£ patting my blood into order for one thing, And for restoring my digestion for another."' ! £ % " What indications were there that your biood required purifyingl* asked oar interviewer. ; | " Weil, a number of sores broke out over my arms, and no measures that I adopted could take them away, with the solitary exception of Clements- Tonic. No other medicine had the same effect on my blood as thai <iid, and nothing that 1 had ever taken Before was half so beneficial to my digestion as r !lemonts Tonic. For about eight months I had oeen ailing from extreme languor, feeling as if it was too much trouble to do even the lightest of work, and sot earing to go out anywhere to enjoy myself. A dull sense of depre sion seemed to have got me fairly under, and when I had been suffering from indigestion a little time I was scarcely ever free from headaches, and I found that my rest was greatly interfered with. I could go to bed feeling dreadfully tired out, but for all that it was more than I could do to get to sleep when I wanted, a d through having only a few hours' slumber each night my vitality became quite exhausted. Every moraine I got up feeling weary and dejected, and with an awfully bitter taste in my mouth. My sight was not as good as it ought to have been either, for sometimes there appeared to be quite a aiist before me, and my eyes felt as if they had swelled during the night. It was a very wretched experience I had, take my word, for when my appetite died away it was surprising how quickly my ltrength went, and then I was more disinclined for work than ever. Worse than all, I was subjected to no small amount of pain, which I am positive was caused through my food not digesting, as it was always soon after eating that they began. My stomach used to get full of wind and make me feel a burden to myself; and my chest got such a heavy sensation in it that it gave me trouble to get my breath sometimes. Under my shoulder blades, too, the pains were very severe, and I had such nasty aches in my loins that I never thought of taking a wa k if it could be possibly avoided, " To be like that was elnast.as bad at being laid up." " Pretty well, and if It had not been' for Clements Tonic I might have been, because a man cannot keep to his work very long in such a wretched state of health as I was in. However, I am glad to say that my days of sickness from those complaints were soon over, under the wonderfully effectivequalities of Clements Tonic, and it will be a source of pleasure to me to help those suffering in the same manner by letting them know what that medicine can do. It cleansed and enriched my blood to begin with, and I got a remarkably good appetite almost at once. Using Clements Tonic seemed to awaken a hew interest in life within me, for the despondent feelings left, and when renewed ■fenergy came I could work with a cheerful Spirit. There is no donbt about Clements Tonic- being the best thing going for the ' digestive organs, as it fixed mine up in no time, and when the pains and aches had all gone I left off taking that splendid remedy, because I had no further need for it."
"If yon don't mind I'll report yonr euro?" "I have no objection. I hare lived in Dunedin for twenty-seven yean, eighteen of which have been spent in this house, so you nifty guess I am well-known, and I would not speak as I have in regard to Clement* Tonio unless. I could honestly recommend it. Ton can publish these facts b any way yoo choose." '•'
