PANACEA PAIH The Oa«a at Mr. N, EDWARfeS, '< ' ■ ■•■' ■ • . ~ ! (BY A BBPOBTKB). There is a delight in acting the part af Providence or of good Santa Glaus. It gives full play to tho best form of the love of power that is bo often found in man, power to befriend, power to raiao, power to console ; and when such instance* no tha following are brought to light, through the kindness of Mr. Nicholas Edward*, of Foxstreet, South Dunedin, it shows that thors are unselfish members of the community who help mankind whenever they i can. Taking his memory baok to three years ago, . Mr. Edwards said:— "it is about that time since I used a medicine called Clements Tome for the ! purpose of putting my blood iato ? f »P one thing,- and for restoring ay eajgiitian for another." 1' «.;•• "What indications were there that, your blood required purifying?" asked our interviewer. " Well, a number of sores broke out over my arms, and no measures that 1 adopted could take them away, wiok the »od'»ry exception of Clements Tonic. No orb*? medicine had the same effect on my blood M that did, and nothing that I had ever taken before was half so beneficial to my digestion as Clements Tocuic. For about eight month* I had been ailing from extreme languor, i feeling as if it was too much trouble to do> 1 even the lightost of work, and not caring to > go out any where to enjoy myself. A uutt sense of depression seemed to ha*- jot me) ; fairly under, and when I had besa mffeiing 1 from indigestion a little time I was scarcely | ever free from headaches, and I found that '. my rest was greatly interfered with. 1 i could go to bed feeling dreadfully tired out, i but for all that it was more than 1 could do to get to sleep when I wanted, a d through having only a few hours' slumber each uigl>t my vitality became quite exhausted. Every morning I got up feeling weary and deject*'!. Mid with an awfully bitter taste in ifif mouth. My sight was not as good as il ought to have been either, for soma* times there appeared to be quite a mist before me, and my eyes felt M if they had swelled during s the night. It was a very wretched erperie ice I had, take my word, for when my appetite died away it was surprising how quickly my Itrangth went, and then I wai mure disinclined for work than ever. Worse than all, I was subjected to no small amount of pain, which I am positive was caused through my food not digesting, a« is «m always soon after eating that they began, My stomach used to get full of wind **i4 make me feel a burden to myself: sod my chest got such a heavy sensation in it that it gave me trouble to got my breath' emu* times. Under my shoulder blades, to % the pains were very severe, and I had such nasty aches in my loins that I never thsmghg of taking a wa k if it conld 1m possibly avoided, " To be like that WH almost as bad at being laid up." " Pretty well, and if it had net been far Clements Tonic I might have been, brcauae a man oannot keep to his work very lo«i« ia suoh a wretohed state of health as 1 was ia, However, I am glad to say that my day* of sickness from those pomplaints were soon over, under the wonderfully effec: i\ equalities of Clements Tonic, and it will be a source of pleasure to me to help those suffering in the same manner by letting them know what that medicine can do. It demised nod enriched my blood to begin with, and 1 got a remarkably good appetite almost at ouce. Using Clementß Tonic seemed to awaken a new interest in life within me, for the despondent feelings left, and when reaevr*4 energy came I could work with a etiterfal spirit. There is no doubt about Clements Tonic being the best thing going for tha digestive organs, as it fixed mine up iu no time, and when the pains and aches had all gone I left off taking that splendid remedy, because I had no further need for it." "If yoo don't mind I'll report your cure?" " I have no objection, I have lived in Dunedin for twenty-seven years, eighteen of which have been spent in this house, so you may guess I am well-known, and' 1 would not speak as I have in regard t* Clements Tonic unless I could honestly recommend it. You can publish these favM in any way yon choose."
