* . S T LETT V BOROUGH OF ALEXANDBA. On Tuesday morning, at the Alexandra Warden's Court, before Mr Warden Burgess, the case of 8 T Lett v the Borough of Alexandra was called. The statement of claim set forth that the plaintiff claimed .£IOOO for damage to his coal-mine, alleged to have been caused by the percolation of water from defendants' water-race. A counter-claim of £240 was filed. Mr 0 C Hutton appeared for plaintiff ; and Mr W A Sim, of Dunedin (with him Mr J R Bartholomew) appeared for defendants.
