AN AMUSING LITTLE DOG,
An' acirob&tic dog fa by no "means a novelty, bat there is a little fox terrier in Birmingham, belonging to a batcher, which gives an • unusual performance daily, and all for the fan of doing it. The animal goes oat with the cart delivering meat, bat instead of running behind or sitting inside the vehicle, he is perched en the horse's back, from which perilous •position he .barks defiance of everybody. He can manage to balance himself with comparative ease, for whether the horse is walking, trotting, or galloping the'dog seems to be in no difficulty whatever. I watched the performance (writes 'LookerOn J ) the other morning in Bristol Street," I could not help admiring the skill with which he maintained his equilibrium, and was much amused to see the pleasure the gallop afforded the dog, as intimated by bis joyous barks at everyone he passed. If the terrier has been trained as an advertisement for the tradesman whose, same is on the cart it must be a great success.
