QUEEN'S PUDDING.
Batter aa ordinary padding- diah and fill it three-parts fall of breadcrumbs. Beat op the yolks of two eggs, add to it ona pint of milk, two tableapocmfals of flee Bagar and the grated riad of one lemon. Pour over the breadcrumbs, and bate in a moderate oven for 20 minutes, than spread over a thin layer of jam. Whisk up the -whites of the eggs to a stiff froth, and lay in little heaps on the top, Betarn to the even to brown- Can be eaten hot or cold. .
COUNTRY CAPTAIN. Cat ap into small pieces part or the whole of a fowl; m9lt some butter in a saucepan, put into it an onion very finely shied, fry till quite crisp: sprinkle the fowl well with curry powder, add salt to taste, and fry till thoroughly coo&ed, taming the pieces frequently. . Serve very hot, with the-'fried onions, oja the top. This also does for the remains of cold chicken or any lean cold meat, but then it would only require thoroughly heating through.
