FRANK YOUNG, Town Olerk Alexandra, July 13th, 1904, I OROUGH OF ALEXANDRA j PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Alexandra at a Special Meeting duly following Special Resolution intended vested in it, in that behalf by " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," and " The Local Bodies Act, 1901," and its amendments, the Council of the Borough of Alexandra hereby resolves as follows: —That for the purpose of providing the & interest and other charges on a Loan of £7OO (being 10 per cent, of original Waterworks Loan of £7,000}, authorised to be raised by the Council of the Borough of Alexandra under the provisions of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," for and in connection with the completion of the Waterworks of the said Borough, the said Council hereby makes and levies a Special Bate of two pence (2d) in the pound (£) upon the rateable properties in the Borough of Alexandra, comprising ail that area bounded towards the North-West by Block VII, Leaning Bock District, eleven thousand nine hundred and nineteen (11,919) links; towards the North-Bast by Block VII, Leaning Bock District, seven thousand, six hundred and fifteen (7615) links: towards the East by the Manherikia River, eight thousand, eight hundred (8,800) links; and towards the South by the Clutba River, eleven thousand (11,000) links; and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such Loan and be payable half-yearly on the first day of May, and the first day of November each year during the currency of such Loan, being a period of forty one years or until such Loan is fully —Further that the said Council adopt the provisions of Section 8, of •* The Local "Bodies Loans Act Amendment. 1903," in regard to the aforesaid Loan, which shall have a curfency'of forty one years at four (4) percent. n —And further that a'Special Meeting of the Council of the Borough of Alexandra will be held in the Council Chambers, Alexandra, on Monday, the 25th day of July, 1904, at eight o'clock p.m. for the purpose of confirming the above Special Order.
