A good deal of interest was evinced in the municipal byselection held yesterday for the return of two eouueil. lore tt the Bsrjougji ef Alexandra, fko eketsoa resulted in the retain ef Dr 43regg and Mr 8. M'Knight, who secured 94 nod 58 votee respectively.
