(From our own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, Wednesday, 8 p.m. The Englishmen beat South Australia by nine wickets. Six boats from the Aramac have been picked up, and all the passengers have been saved. The Aramac herself has been towed into Harvey Bay. The sun ivors in some of the boats had a roost trying experience. The captain and nine men who stood by the ship were only rescued in lime, as the water was gaining fast. The cargo is in good order. Obituary: Lady See, wife of the Premier of New- South Wales; at Sydney this morning. Sir John See is at present in New Zealand. At the Education Board's meeting the Alexandra School Committee's request for half cost of repairing fence was granted. Reports from Pott Arthur deny that the* Russians are abandoning that place. The Japanese are searching for the warship Vladivostock, and expect to-meet it near Sagblien. The Japanese speak highly of the bravery of the Russians in defending the last attack on Port Arthur. Mekermere and Marx, the youthful Chicago bandits, have been condemned to death '. The former admits twentythree murders.
