Horticultural Show.
. ! > ;? <~ m The first show under the auspices of £he Duust m District Horticultural Society was held at Clyde on Thursday j last, and went off most successfully, , In the majority of cases, the entries J were, numerically, highly satisfactory, and invariably the quality was excellent. This was especially so in the cise of the fruit exhibits, which were very fine,' and these exhibits bore eloquent testimony to the fruit-growing capabilities of the district. There was a* goo i attendance of the public, and during the evening numerous musical contributions added to the enjoyment of those present. It was a regrettable fact that the show did not receive more liberal support from exhibitors a- a distance. This is not as it should be, aod it is to be hoped that in future the public throughout the district will recognise* in a practical manner that the Society is one deserving of support.
