Wedding Bells.
A pretty wedding took place at Ophir on Tuesday, 26th January, when Mr J M'Knight, J P, senior partner of the firm cf M'Knight Bros, of Ophir and Alexandra, was married to Miss Eliza Pitches, eldest daughter of Mr J Pitches, JP, of Ophir. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very handsome in a beautiful dress of white silk, and was attended by Misses Ruby Wilkinson aud Ruby Brown. The ceremony was impressively conducted by the Rev J Gellie, in the Presbyterian Church, Subsequently, the invited guests sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast at the Shamrock Hotel, and the toast of the health of the happy couple was honoured most enthusiastically. A large number of guests were present from tho most distant parts of the district, and the gathering was a most enjoyable one. The bride was the recipient of numerous presents, and the popularity of both the bride and bridegroom was abundantly manifest. In the evening they left on the honeymoon trip, taking with them the best wishes of all.
