The following business of loca| interest was transacted at last week's meeting of the Otago Land Board :« An application by JD G Gunn for an occupation lease under the Mining Die* trict Land Occupation Act over 30 «cres in Block vm, Leaning Rock district, Run 221, was considered. The application was granted subject to survey ; together with a report from Ranger O'Neill; tm% M psr acre. Ranger O'Neill reported on the application of Robert Crs.wfnnJ'.f'v? .***- occupation under the M.8.L.0 Act over section 177, block VI, Lesn* leg Rock district. Application declined. Elizabeth Pickup applied for exemption from residence on sections 61 and 64, block X, Leaning Rock district, Earnscleugh, for a few weeks.—Granted. Ranger O'Neill reported on the following applications for occupation leases under th* M.8.L.0 Act:—Edgar Sainsbury, 15 acres in block IX, Leaning Rock district; David B Cameron, 7 acres in block VI, Tiger Hill district; T Duggan, 100 acres in block VII, Lauder District; Samuel Berry, iOO teres in block VII, Lauder district; Edmond Wailington, 100 acres in block"VII, Lauder District; James Percy, 100 acres in block VII, Lauder District.—The applications of E Sainsbury and D B Cameron were referred to the warden for report, and those of T Duggan S Berry, E Wailington, and J Percy were declined, the board being of opinion that the granting of the applications would, prejudicially affect the working of the run.
