St. Dunstan's Chureh, Clyde.

I On Sunday, 18th inst., St. Dunstan's Church, Clyde, was consecrated and dedicated by His Lordship Bishop Verdon, assisted by the Rev Fathers Murphy and Hunt. The first service was held at 9 a.m., when the consecration and dedication ceremony was performed in the presence of a large congregation, many of whom had come from distant portions of the district. Father Murphy said Mass at 11 a.m., the church being agaia-crowded, and the

singing was led by a choir under the conductorship of Mr A A Briasco. The soloists were Mrs Oostelloe, Mrs O'Kane, Miss Martin, Dr M'Kibben, and Mr J J O'Kane. The first-named lady sang the " Ave Maria " during the offertory, which was in aid of the . building fund, and amounted to £lO6 16s with a further amount promised which made the total £l6l 16s. His Lordship Bishop Verdon preached an eloquent sermon appropriate to the occasion, in the course of which he took 'the opportunity of congratulating the congregation on having erected such a beautiful building to the glory of God, and he expressed the hope that within its sacred portals they and their children and their children's children would find peace and blessing and consolation from the services of the Church.

At the evening service there was again a large attendance, and the Rev. Father Murphy preached an able and powerful sermon.
