Lawn Tennis.

The annual meeting of the Alexandra Lawn Tennis Club was h-jld on Thursday evening. 24th u\\ when there was a good attendance, Dr Gregg presiding. The following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr J J OKane; vice-president, Mr W A Theyers; hon secretary and treasurer, Mr L S Thompson ; committee, Mrs O'Kane, Miss Tre vethick. Miss J Kelman, Miss Cameron, Messrs Young, Bartholomew, Laidlaw, J A O'Kane, and Dr Gregg. The subscription fee for the season was fixed as follows:—Gentlemen, 10s; ladies, ss. A hearty vote of thanks was recorded to Dr Gresrgr, for the services rendered to the club during the two years he occupied the presidential chair. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, October 10th. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
