Football Notes.
Southland defeated Otagoafc Dunedin last Saturday by 9pts to Bpts. Hawke's Bay defeated Canterbury at Cbristchurch by lSpts to 9pts, The Clyde and Cromwell teams met at Clyde on Saturday last, the game resulting in a victory for Clyde by 3 points (a try) to nil. On Saturday last a match was played on the Alexandra ground between two teams representing respectively the Town and Country. | After a hard-fought and exciting game, the match resulted in a draw, each side scoring a try. The nromwell and Alexandra teams meet at Alexandra next Saturday week. The under-mentioned teams will play a match at Alexandra on Friday ( Arbor Day), commencing at 4 p.ra. : Colliers' Team.—Backs: H.
