Social at Springvale.
A pleasant social in connection with the Presbyterian Church members, was held at Springvale last Tuesday evening. The Rev. J. Mackie presided, and when opening the proceedings remarked that the function was the first of its kind ever held in Springvale. A. short programme of songs and recitations was gone through and an address was given by Mr Mackie. During the evening refreshments were handed round amongst the audience, and thanks are due to the ladies who attended to this matter.
