The season for the above game, having given away to that exhilarating pastime, football, a summary showing the club's record during the past | season, will doubtless prove of interest. The club though winning all matches played last season i(six in all), can lay claim to be the premier club in Central Otago. The wins in all matches were very easy ones as the following will show:—Against Clyde, (first match), won by 134 runs; Becond match, won by 10 wickets ; against Lowburn. first match won by 7 wickets; second match won by an innings and 13 runs; against Cromwell, first match, won by an innings and 21 runs; second match, won by 86 runs. The club is not in a good financial position at present, having still to pay off old debts contracted by the club many years ago. With a large number of young men in this districf, a strong club should exist here, and from expectations, the club will be materially strengthened next year. Subjoined is the averages for both batting and bowling for the past season.
